About the Happy Couple
Mark and Beki met by chance on a hiking expedition across the Andes Mountains in 2006. Mark twisted and badly sprained his ankle and Beki carried him on her back for 4 days down the mountain to safety. From this amazing experience, love blossomed.

Okay, so maybe that's not what really happened, but if not, where did this undeniable, completely un-retouched photographic evidence come from?
Fine. Believe what you want to believe.
In any case, Mark proposed to Beki on February 1st, 2007, with a beautiful antique diamond ring... and a $5 cubic zirconia solitaire "fake out" ring. Perhaps due to confusion brought on by this incredibly clever act of deception, Beki said "yes." (And she still wears both rings).
A shared passion for eggnog and big, funny hats helped make Christmas memorable. Here we are spending some time with Mama Snyder and family - Cassie(-opia), Will and Joe - at the holidays.

Same holiday, different family. We had a nice celebration at Mom G's house, along with Gee-off and Aimee, Drew, Evan and Mary, and Frank.

We took a wonderful trip to Bermuda in March, with Dad Snyder, Nancy and Jeff(erson). The food in Bermuda was De-LIGHT-ful. The view wasn't so bad either. Here we are having a lovely lunch in Hamilton. The Bermudian fish chowder was amazing, which is good - because they charged us double!
Also in Bermuda - Dipping our feet into the water at Horseshoe Bay... the water is pretty cold in March, but we just couldn't help it! The beautiful pink sand beach and clear blue water were irresistable.
The inset shot is with the whole crew, enjoying one of the amazing dinners we had while on the island.

A closeup of our feet in the water. (This caption is absolutely necessary because Chuck said there's no way anyone could ever figure out what this picture could possibly be of.) Despite his protestations, we happen to think that this photo is incredibly romantic and cute - but of course, we've got love goggles on.
Our nephew Drew being silly on Turkey Day. I'm not going to say that Uncle Mark and Aunt Beki are his favorites; not because it's not true, but mostly because it's just so obvious.
Here's Drew again, with Mark's Grandparents and Dad, Bob.
Here's a great family shot from Rob(biekins) and Gail's wedding! So nice to have (almost) everyone in one place. It was a beautiful wedding, and everybody had a great time.
Here we are with Tim(ber) and Amy, toasting to something or other...
On that same weekend, we enjoyed a lovely dinner celebrating Jess(erbie) and Ron's wedding. It was also Mark's introduction to baby Tessa.
Here is Mark and some of his family in fall 2006, for Judy's "Celebration of Life" party. In the photo is brother Evan, Mom Judy, sister-in-law Aimee, and Pop-Pop and Marie, Mark's other grandparents. (Beki's not in the photo because she's holding the camera!)
The inset is Mark's brother Geoff (Gee-off) walking with Mom.

Yep, he did it. Mark took a Chicago girl and turned her into an Eagles fan. And she hates it - not because she had any particular allegiance to any other teams (she didn't) but mostly because it's so %$*#ing HEARTBREAKING to be an Eagles fan. Welcome to the club, Beki.
